As a native of the city of Würzburg, Lower Franconia, a professional change brought me to Swabia, where I now live with my wife Sabine near Stuttgart.
Since my childhood, I have been particularly interested in the history of World War II.
After I had visited the Orglandes German military cemetery where my grandfather is buried, I studied and researched the Allied landings and the 2 ½ months of fighting in Normandy for years.
This guide, already in its 8th edition available in Germany, is the result of more than five years of intensive research and countless visits in Normandy. The guidebook is now available in English for the first time.
Enjoy your next military-historical trip to Normandy.
If you use my guidebook, I would be delighted.
Here is another link to a documentary about the German D-Day veteran Paul Golz.
This documentary was partly filmed during a tour I guided for Paul and his entourage in June 2014.
